Designed and written by Dillin Apelyan (SuperDillin) and Meghan Cross (meghanlynnFTW, Siren's Song Games,) HUNT(er/ed) is a 2 player game of pursuit, determination, and what it truly means to be a monster.
HUNT(er/ed) a a fast paced, narrative heavy game that is played with a standard deck of playing cards and a pair of d6 dice. Alternately, a hook-and-ring game can be used in place of the dice, and rules for playing with both dice and hook-and-ring are included in the game text.
One player will be playing the HUNTER - the pursuer - driven and steadfast in their quest to track and slay their quarry. The other will be playing the MONSTER - the pursued - alienated, feared, and hated by those who have crossed their path, who is determined to survive by any means necessary.
At the end, either HUNTER or MONSTER will arise victorious and hold the power to end the hunt - and possibly - their adversary’s life.
Will you kill your opponent, find common ground, flee? That is for the victor to decide.
This game also includes ACCEPT(deny) - a gameplay variant designed by Elliot Davis that allows HUNT(er/ed) to be played solo.
Hear an example of the gameplay in the Actual Play podcast from Dead Ghost Productions, featuring Dillin Apelyan and Dylan Malenfant, edited by Aram Vartian.
