Make a name for yourself or die trying...
Play as professional climbers competing for the spotlight while working together to survive the world's most famous mountains.
Part freeform slice-of-life and part tactical sports RPG, play to find out if you'll make your name as a climbing legend, or die trying. Mechanically complex and narratively satisfying, this new game from writer Laurie O’Connel is packed with facts and stories about mountaineering, and features detailed prewritten summits for five of the world’s most famous mountains.
Regime Change Super Soldiers (and Other Games)
A collection of political games by Laurie O’Connel, this incomplete anthology comments on political violence, war and imperialism. O’Connel’s modern take on the somewhat restrictive form of the role-playing game asks what a game writer or player living through the death agony of the US empire can possibly say about topics which are not at all “fun”.
The four games within, Regime Change Super Soldiers, Man vs Beast (or: This Game Does Not Condone Murder), Manufacturing CNNsent, and High Score, range in both number of participants and style, from one to many players and from tongue-in-cheek satire to direct participation.
Lichcraft
Become an immortal Lich in order to out-last the National Health Service's queue...
Due to government cuts, trans healthcare has become increasingly hard to access. The waiting list for a first appointment at a gender identity clinic is now 300 years. They don’t want to outright refuse you; that would imply that the health service is over capacity or underfunded. Instead they will simply add you to the end of the list and wait for you to die.
But they are fools. For you have learned the secrets of immortality. And you will get to the end of that waiting list, even if it means waiting another millennium...
This is a game about spite, necromancy, being trans, and a 300 year long NHS waiting list.
