The Sleeping Deaths

The Sleeping Deaths is a horror-themed solo journalling game where you explore the narrative by drawing playing cards and expanding on the prompts they provide.

You play as a night watchman, whose struggles with sleep have led them to a new night job looking after a dilapidated manor house left to ruin in the English countryside. At the same time, you've become preoccupied by the recent news of a series of mysterious deaths. People die in their sleep, seemingly by natural causes—sometimes even in rooms locked from the inside. All unsuspicious if it wasn't for a symbol: a crudely drawn dagger scratched into the wall at each crime scene. 

As you play, you alternate between the real world and your life as a night watchman, and a dream world where you play as a detective within a 1970's TV show. 

Delve through the worn old deck the previous night watchman left behind, as you explore the real world and your dreams. Follow the threads. Uncover secrets and terrors. Face your fears. Face the killer.
